NVIDIA just unleashed yesterday the driver that enables 3D Vision Surround support on multi-GPU configurations. As such, it would have been unusual for custom PC makers so as not to immediately offer machines capable of making the best of this new feature. Sure enough, Cyberpower, iBuyPower and Digital Storm have each already unveiled new gaming rigs. Predictably, Maingear would not let this chance pass without making something of it, which is why it brought out the F131 P55 3D Vision Surround.

As its name implies, this desktop is a modified version of the F131 P55, though the only real difference is in the display solutions and the presence of the 3D Vision kit, composed of 3D glasses and the necessary software. The monitors bundled with the rig are three Acer GD235HZ 23-inch models with a refresh rate of, obviously, 120Hz.

The base configuration of the machine is surprisingly light, performance-wise. At the center of it all lies an Intel Core i5 central processing unit, though users can go for a Core i3 or Core i7 if they so desire. 4GB of RAM are also available, though the upper limit is of 16GB. Furthermore, a hard disk drive is available for storage, with a capacity of up to 2TB, while solid state drives of up to 512GB are also listed as possible options. All the beast's insides are kept operational by a power supply of between 650W and 1,200W.

3D Vision surround is a special technology developed by NVIDIA, by means of which games can be converted in 3D and displayed over three distinct monitors at the same time. The Maingear F131 P55 3D Vision Surround aims to provide a complete solution for users to take advantage of it. That said, orders can be placed here, though a 'donation' of $3,770 or more will be necessary.
