They only need you to show them a sketch or drawing

You might not think that a rough sketch or drawing is enough to communicate to a company what you want a device to look like, but USB Memory Direct begs to disagree.

Having been in the business of custom-designed universal serial bus storage devices for years, the company has gained a fair bit of skill in meeting customer demands in that area.

And since 3D printing technology can be such a big help in making things look the way you want, they naturally adapted it for their use immediately.

Because of that, you can now order your own 3D printed flash drives. Sure, the hardware still has to be assembled traditionally, but the outer shell can be given any shape, design and coloring that you choose.

And because 3D printing makes everything easier and cheaper, you shouldn't have to pay as much money as before either.

We can't really give specific figures though, because the prices depend on the difficulty of your request. You have to make a call and talk to the designers and engineers who will explain what it would take to make the drive with certain specifications.

Which is to say, the price tag will depend on your needs and whatever engineering issues you may or may not be aware of.

The downside is that USB Memory Direct only works with businesses. They're the source of those nifty Android logo-shaped drives that Google hands out its press kits at media events, but they won't serve consumers.
