There's more - sequels are in the scope. Come on! Isn't this too much for just one rumor?

According to Orange Lounge Radio, a new Katamari game, or an Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii version of the Katamari game, will be available by the end of this year. The Wii is the last to get the game according to the site. The article reads: "Namco has announced to retailers the arrival of the hit series onto the next-gen platforms. BEAUTIFUL KATAMARI is set to release on October 17th for $39.99 on the PS3 and XBOX 360 and will feature SIXAXIS support for the PS3 version. The Wii version will arrive shortly after on November 14th on the Wii for $29.99."

Not only is it coming on all three major gaming platforms, making good use of the SIXAXIS too, but there are sequels in the scope, as I found on Digg. It is said that Panic founder Cabel Sasser had a talk with Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashim who spilled the beans over this great title.

Rumors often die out, because there is not enough evidence to sustain them and sometimes they come true even if nobody thought it was possible; but there is at least one good thing immersing out of the whole thing: rumors generally say this game or that game or that machine is coming. Few rumors say "that thing isn't coming."

With Keita Takahashi as developer and Namco Bandai as publisher, Katamari Damacy is a cult video game in which the player attempts to rebuild the constellations accidentally destroyed, by rolling a magical, highly adhesive ball (the katamari) around various locations, collecting increasingly larger objects until the ball becomes a star in full size. The game also had 2 sequels: Minna Daisuki Katamari Damashii for the PlayStation 2 and Boku no Watashi no Katamari Damashii for the PlayStation Portable.

I'm sure you're on to me that I'm trying to make you see the glass half full, but that's just because I really hope the rumor is true. I'm kinda fond of the idea of growing my very own star, the next-gen way.
