Peter Moore says that Nintendo's success lies within the Wiimote's fun use. Naturally...

Looks like Microsoft is adopting new approaches on how to make their console more successful, or how to attract people into having "more fun" playing games on the 360. It's actually a normal and predictable step every company makes when they know they can do better and they have the means to do that. What Peter Moore is hinting at is the 360's very own motion sensitivity controller, just like the Wii's Wiimote.

In his interview with GameInformer, Moore praises Nintendo for their ingenuity with the nunchuck controller, saying that this exact feature is what brought fun back into the world of games: "Nintendo has done a tremendous job in capturing, in bringing back fun-if you will-to the gaming platforms." But what exactly did Microsoft's Peter Moore say that made everyone believe their next approach with the 360 will be a motion sensitive controller?

When GI told Moore that they're glad to hear he didn't say anything about Fuzion Frenzy 2, Microsoft's spokesman replied: "...you know, it's not Fuzion Frenzy 2. It's actually not games. It's more experiencial than that. And again, since the day I saw Iwata-san pull the nunchuck controller out from under his podium a few years ago at TGS, I've always realized that was the right thing for Nintendo to have to do for what they needed to do to be successful in this next generation. And it was always going to be a challenge for us. So, we have plans. This does not come as a surprise. Our strategy has been laid out for us years in advance, and you're going to see some of that this next holiday and beyond".

All right, so next holiday we're going to have motion sensitivity controllers for the 360. Well, let's not jump to conclusions; even if it does happen, you know how long these things take and besides, we've heard many statements from big company spokesmen that didn't eventually turn out to be true, or turned out to be only partially true.
