343 Industries co-founder Kenneth Scott has revealed that he has joined Oculus VR in order to help develop the company's first-party game content for the Oculus Rift.

Scott left the Halo studio earlier this year, in January, after half a decade of hard work. However, he has mentioned that he will continue to support 343 Industries as a Visual Design Consultant.

Now, it appears that he'll be making sure that the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset will have something truly impressive to offer its adopters when it ships commercially.

The Oculus team tweeted about him joining them, stating that Kenneth Scott will be the company's art director, the same position he occupied with his former employer.

Oculus seems to have attracted a lot of big names from the game industry lately, as this is just the latest in a string of high-profile hires, after co-founder of id Software John Carmack joined them in August last year, and three big names from Valve, Aaaron Nicholls, Atman Binstock and Michael Abrash, also jumped ship to the VR-oriented company.

And with the recent acquisition of Oculus VR by Facebook, we can only expect the magnitude of what's coming to increase tenfold.

The consumer version of the Oculus Rift is expected to be released sometime in 2015.
