Halo: The Master Chief Collection still needs some updates and the launch of Halo 5: Guardians is set to take place this year, but the developers at 343 Industries still have time to deliver a massive lore update which deals with many inquiries submitted by loyal members of the community.

The Halo Waypoint article suggests that the studio has to select the most popular questions and that it will continue to deliver answers in the coming weeks and months.

Halo fans will have quite a bit of reading to do, but they will find new details about human shipbuilding, the number of Shield Worlds, ship class types, Spartan versus Elite wargames, Halo: Nightfall, Jul ‘Mdama’s Covenant, Mjolnir armor, active headhunters, and more.

It's fascinating to see the range of questions gamers can pose, some of them extremely obscure, and it's even cooler to see that the developers have answers to them all, which suggests that 343 Industries has a solid grip on the timeline of the series.

343 Industries is also delivering new Universe entries for fans to explore as they wait for more information on the coming update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Halo has plans for more video content and a new novel

Microsoft has already announced that a new Halo novel, called New Blood, will be launched in the spring and will offer details about a new generation of Spartans.

It's unclear whether the company also has plans to introduce an entirely new series like Nightfall or if it will focus on smaller video projects.

Halo 5: Guardians is at the moment set to arrive in the fall of this year on the Xbox One and will continue the saga of Master Chief.

An image that recently leaked, associated with a commercial that's being shot for the game, seems to suggest that Agent Locke, first seen in Nightfall, will play an important role in the story.

343 Industries has also said that it has learned a lot about the multiplayer experience for Halo 5: Guardians from the recent beta testing period.

The studio is already working on a number of changes, including tweaks to weapons and improvements to matchmaking.

There are also plans to allow gamers to turn off all new Spartan abilities in custom games created in Halo 5.
