Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is reportedly getting ready for the launch of a new flavor of the Lumia 1520 smartphone in the United States, one that would pack 32GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is already available for purchase in the country on the network of AT&T, though only with 16GB of memory inside.

However, those who have been waiting for it to offer more built-in storage right from the start might be in luck this Friday, as AT&T will add the 32GB model to its lineup on that day, as WPCentral reports.

Nokia Lumia 1520 does come with a microSD memory card slot, which enables users to add up to 64GB of additional storage, but the extra default memory certainly sounds great.

Unfortunately, it seems that the wireless carrier will sell the new device flavor only through its online portal, which means that you won’t be able to find it at the company’s retail locations around the country.

No specific info on the phone’s pricing has been provided as of now, but we might see it released at around $250 (€184), considering the fact that the 16GB model is priced at $199.99 (€147) on contract at the moment.

Clearly, it would be a great thing for all if AT&T decided to launch it at $199, while cutting the cost of the lower-capacity model, but that’s just wishful thinking at the moment.

In case you haven’t had the chance to read about this phone before, you might want to know that it sports a large 6-inh full HD touchscreen display, while being powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.

The handset also features 2GB of RAM, a 20-megapixel camera on the back, front camera for video calling, and the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors. It is the most powerful Windows Phone 8 smartphone to date.
