Google seems to be more and more interested in the Indian market. The company has launched a dedicated site for the selling of its Nexus devices and has already introduced the 16GB version of Nexus 7 Wi-Fi only tablet.

Today, AndroidOS reports that Asus India has introduced two new Nexus devices in the country, which are now available for purchase via the manufacturer’s retail channels, the 32GB Nexus 7 Wi-Fi and 3G.

Potential customers can buy the 3G model for Rs 21,999 ($405/€315) or the Wi-Fi only variant, which is priced at Rs 18,999 ($350/€270) outright.

“We are elated to announce the most awaited ASUS Nexus 7 to the Indian consumers. We have received an assenting reception for this tablet from the users globally and we are happy to cater to the growing demand in India by making it easily available in the country,” said Peter Chang, regional head – South Asia and country manager, system business group, ASUS India.

As we have mentioned earlier, both models ship with 32GB of internal memory and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system onboard.

However, those who have decided to grab any of the two tablets should know that they will be able to immediately upgrade their devices to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform via OTA (over the air) delivery.

Aside from the fact that the Wi-Fi only version does not come with 3G support, the rest of the specs are similar, so expect the tablets to come with 1.2 quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors, 1GB of RAM and 7-inch capacitive touchscreen displays with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution.

“The ASUS Nexus 7 is a promisingly thin, light and portable marvel which will revolutionize your computing experience and to become your permanent travel companion. It is one of the finest products available at an affordable pricing with exceptional speed and performance,” added Chang.
