According to the Sony Vietnam website, Sony will soon release a new camera, one that will have a price of around 420 EUR / $420 – 548.

It is equipped with a 20 megapixel image sensor (CMOS), which isn't that amazing on its own.

What does stand out is the optical zoom support of 30x, which, along with the Optical Steady Shot technology, allows clear close-ups to be snapped from great distances.

Among the relevant specs are the Wi-Fi, GPS, lens with ED Glass and ER glass, and a new and improved algorithm for optimized stabilization, which further helps in close-ups.

Sales should begin next week, hopefully in more regions of the world than just Japan (Sony's home market).

We suspect that the DSC-HX50V is the only camera revealed recently.
