300AD has announced the release of a fantasy strategy game for Mac and PC, Be a King. A casual brand of Rake in Grass company, 300AD is an independent firm associating developers and distributors of games. The house has been in the business for more than six years.
Targeting casual gamers, Be a King is a fantasy strategy game that offers fast and entertaining gameplay. In the game, players take the role of a ruler in a medieval kingdom. They must perform various objectives, build towns and defend them against raiders. Trying to rule their land as a prince, the player must build and maintain villages, towns, but also big cities. Obviously, hordes of monsters and bandits will eye the beautiful settlements you must defend.
In short, as 300AD puts it, “The player ventures on being a [sic] honest and determined ruler to realize the dream of becoming a brave king who leads his people to a better future.”
Main features of Be a King include,
- 25 original levels - Building 7 different types of buildings to grow cities - Upgrading the buildings - each building has 3 variants - Defending lieges against hordes of monsters and bandits - Fulfilling different types of objectives - Training heroes and completing a lot of adventurous quests - Original soundtrack inspired by film music.
Minimum requirements call for OS X 10.3+ on the Mac side and any version of Windows on the PC side. Also, a 1GHz processor will help, as well as 128MB of RAM.
