The news that 300 fleas have recently frozen to death in Germany is now making headlines. Apparently, the mites made up a circus performing troupe, and all of them passed away while inside their transportation box.

As was to be expected, the flea circus director was left devastated by the loss of these mites. More so given the fact that the fleas were supposed to entertain the crowds at an open-air fair in the town of Mechernich-Kommern.

Sources say that, following the tragic death of these 300 mites, Director Robert Birk managed to find some replacements, 50 of which were quickly trained by an insect expert.

Thus, there was no need to cancel this past Sunday's flea circus performance.

Hopefully, the circus' new performing mites will manage to cope with the freezing temperatures better than their predecessors.
