It was about time the skyline of that particular city got a few lights on

One of the unfortunate aspects of London is the fact that it is almost impossible to spot a star on the sky at night, because of all the smog.

Paramount figured it could do something about that when it celebrated Earth Hour this weekend.

Normally, lights go out during Earth Hour, but Paramount did the opposite, lifting 30 quadrotors into the sky and arranging them in a symbol right out of Star Trek.

Of course, given that “Star Trek: Into Darkness” is a film that will be launched soon, this isn't as hard to understand as it might otherwise have been.

The Starfleet insignia was “painted” with 30 quadrotors and was over 300 feet tall (91 meters). The tiny quadrocopters hovered at 118 to 426 feet above the ground (36-130 meters).
