The young rider was left utterly heartbroken

Just the other day, 3-year-old Declan Tramley of Halifax, Canada, was spotted by law enforcement officers leaving his plastic cycle parked next to the local ferry terminal.

The officers got to him before he could make a run for it and issued him a parking ticket. A true rider, 3-year-old Declan Tramley reacted in the best possible way: he hit himself over the face.

The incident was caught on camera, and the photo showing the young boy being handed his parking ticket is now making the rounds on social media sites.

“Remember, no motorcycle parking in the circle by the ferry terminal. This ruthless biker was caught yesterday!” the Halifax Police wrote in a Twitter post so that others would know what to expect when breaking the law.

Worry not, the 3-year-old rider was not actually issued a parking ticket. It was all just a prank, and the boy was in on it the entire time. Apparently, officer Shawn Curie and his colleagues simply wanted to have some fun.

“It's nice to show the different sides of police," Shawn Curie told CTV News in an interview. “We're not always making arrests and hauling people away... we like to have fun,” he added.
