3 UK is the latest mobile services provider in the country to offer dedicated 3G data plans for the newly launched Apple iPad. O2 UK, Orange and Vodafone already announced their offerings in the area, and now 3 joins the party, offering users the possibility to enjoy Apple's slate PC (set to go on sale this Friday, 28 May) with connectivity on its airwaves.

“3 is pleased to offer competitive data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G in the UK,” Marc Allera, sales and marketing director at 3, commented on the announcement. “Our network, the largest in the country, has been optimized for the mobile Internet, ensuring our customers enjoy the very best mobile performance on iPad.”

According to the wireless carrier, it offers the best iPad deals in the UK market, saying, “No other network gives you more data for your money,” while putting on the table a £7.50 plan that brings forth 1GB of data, and a £15.00 per month option which offers users up to 10GB of data traffic on its network. Both options are Micro-SIM only, which means that users won't have to commit to lengthy contract agreements to benefit from them.

But this is not all, according to a recent post on the carrier's blog. In addition to having these 3G SIM Only data plans put in place for the owners of an Apple iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, the carrier also offers them the possibility to connect the device to the Internet in a new way while on the move, through MiFi, a device that creates a personal Wi-Fi network regardless of one's location. “No wires, no installation, no need to search for a hotspot – and just £49.99 on Pay As You Go,” the said blog post reads.

One thing that is certain is that there is a tight competition in the UK when it comes to offering iPad data plans. Users have a nice range of options when it comes to accessing the Internet from their new tablet, and those interested in what 3 UK has in store for them should head over to the carrier's website here to learn more on the matter.
