The burgers will feature whole grain buns, bacon

McDonald's will be including three new and improved Quarter Pounders on its menu, after chucking the Angus over poor sales.

As I have reported, company reps claim that the Angus is no longer a crowd favorite, as dollar menus are grabbing their customers' attention.

The new products should be available around the middle of June this year, Chicago Tribune reports.

They come in bacon and cheddar, in one version, lettuce, tomato and onion in another and a third burger will be sprinkled with habanero ranch topping.

The buns will be healthier, as eight grams (0.3 ounces) of whole grain will go into every one of them. However, some of them will have bacon on them.

"We feel like that bacon is a fabulous enhancement to many of our products," McDonald's USA CMO Neil Golden says.
