Say what you will about Ridley Scott's “Prometheus” and how “disappointing” it turned out to be, but it was not so for lack of trying. Three new photos confirm that Scott shot several alternate scenes for the film.

Obtained by Bloody Disgusting, the pics show the Fifield character (Sean Harris) after he gets infected / attacked by the alien and returns to the ship, to Prometheus, to wreak havoc among his mates.

Check out the photos in the gallery: the first three are from an alternate scene Scott did with CGI (he also shot one with practical effects, so that makes three versions of the same action scene).

The fourth picture in the gallery is of Fifield in the final version of the film, a look also obtained with practical effects in the makeup chair.

Even though fans never got to see Scott's other two efforts for the same scene, chances are they still might: word online has it the deleted scene might be included on a DVD / Blu-ray extra; otherwise, it wouldn't make sense for Fox to put them out there now.
