The developers at Quantic Dream who have created Heavy Rain have announced that 3 million gamers have played the game so far and revealed some information on their performance and on their in-game choices.

An infographic from the company shows that most players started very well and 85 percent of them managed to win the first action sequences in the game.

74% of those who played the game also managed to finish the game at least once, although just close to two thirds of players actually managed to save Shaun from becoming the next victim of the dreaded Origami Killer.

A fraction of just 4 percent of those who played Heavy Rain have managed to play through it enough times to get all the endings while an even lower number of 3% have managed to get the Platinum Trophy for the game, which is only given out to those who get through the Quantic Dream game getting all the other Trophies.

33 percent of players managed to keep all the main characters alive through Heavy Rain.

When it was launched the Quantic Dream title impressed reviews and gamers alike with the care taken when it comes to the emotions of the characters and with the ways the protagonists interacted with the world.

The French development studio tried to create a game that transcended the limitations of the medium and managed to make players involved and emotional at the same time.

David Cage, the main developer at the studio, has already confirmed that there are no plans to create Heavy Rain 2, because that would mean milking the concept.

The team now has two video game projects under development, both of them focusing on emotion and not on serial killers.

It seems that one of the new games will be called Fiv5 while the other might be a revival of Infraworld.
