While Microsoft has reported a total of three million downloads in just the first four days since Internet Explorer 7 was launched on October 18, and Mozilla announced a total of two million downloads in the launching day, neither of the companies has followed up with additional statistics. Microsoft has disclosed concomitantly with debuting the release of IE7 via Automatic Updates that it is delivering the browser to 1 million users of the English version of Internet Explorer 6 per day, roughly 1% of the global share of IE6 users, and that it plans to round up the AU distribution of IE7 within three months' time. Mozilla, although it has promised to publish additional data related to the adoption process of Firefox 2.0, has also failed to follow up to this date. In this context, OneStat, a provider of real-time web analytics has taken onto itself to provide statistics of the deployment of Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.0. According to the data provided by OneStat, IE7 has currently a global usage share of 3.06%. This means that out of the total number of people that use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser, 3.6% deploy IE7, at one month after the browser was officially released. As it was to be expected, Mozilla Firefox 2.0 has a much inferior global usage share. Firefox 2.0 has only amounted to 2.38%, 19.5% of all Mozilla Firefox users deploying Firefox 2.0. Microsoft Internet Explorer accounts for a total of 85.24% of the global browser market in November, down 0.61% compared to October. Mozilla Firefox, on the other hand, has increased its market share by 0.66% since the past month and has reached 12.15% in November.
