The development studio 2K Marin is apparently working on a new intellectual property at the same time as they are developing the shooter based on the XCOM universe.

References to the new project have been found in the resume of Hogarth De La Plante, who is the co-founder of 2K Marin and is one of the leading developers at the company.

The resume says that De La Plante is interested in “inventing a new IP, pitching it to publishing and generating pre-production creative materials with our director team.”

His official listed role is that of art director and it is not known how big of a team is currently engaged with the secret development project.

De La Plante is also listed as technical consultant and manager of the XCOM project.

The XCOM shooter was supposed to be launched during the spring of this year, but publisher 2K Games has since announced that it would be released during 2013.
