2K Games might be preparing to make an announcement regarding the hugely popular narrative-driven first-person shooter BioShock, if we are to read into the company's tease post on Twitter.

BioShock was regarded as a truly genre-defining work that blended a smart and atmospheric narrative with a tense and gloomy overall mood, managing to strike a balance between exciting first-person shooter mechanics and a unique, masterfully crafted and very immersive environment based on the works of famous writers such as Ayn Rand or George Orwell.

The post on 2K's United Kingdom account features an image of a poster for the original BioShock's Eve Garden, alongside a caption that points to something mysterious that nobody knows about going on.

Eve's Garden was an exotic dancing venue set in the underwater utopian city of Rapture, more precisely in the Fort Frolic area, and was featured in both BioShock and BioShock 2's multiplayer.

Exactly what this means is uncertain for now, as 2K has declined to offer any additional information regarding what they're up to. They might be planning an HD remaster of the original BioShock, as the trend seems to be seeing more and more traction, or they could have something completely different on their mind.

In any case, we'll come back with more information as soon as it becomes available.
