Unfortunately, her obsession with Hello Kitty is causing men to say “Goodbye, Natasha”

First off, fair warning: try not to stare too hard at the photo above, or risk having your retina scarred for life by the pink bonanza unfolding before your very eyes.

For those who still haven't gotten over the initial shock and cannot make up all the details of the photo, all that pink comes from several hundred Hello Kitty collectibles.

The collectibles belong to 29-year-old Natasha Goldsworth, who has spent the past 15 years hoarding Hello Kitty jewelry, furniture, curtains, toys, and clothing, Daily Mail informs.

It's unclear whether the woman keeps an inventory or regularly carries out a census of the items in her Hello Kitty collection, but word has it that Natasha Goldsworth owns about 10,000 Hello Kitty collectibles.

What's more, the 29-year-old says that, to her estimates, she has until now spent about £50,000 (approximately €61,950 / $83,860) on adding items to her collection, the same source details.

In an interview with the press, Natasha Goldsworth, who now lives in Exeter in the United Kingdom, explained that her obsession with Hello Kitty began back in 2000, when she received a Hello Kitty notebook as a gift.

By the time she was 19 years old and moved into the one-bedroom apartment that is now her home, Natasha had already added dozens other Hello Kitty toys, jewelry, clothes and whatnot to her collection.

Fast forward a few years and, as easily noticeable in the photo above, the woman's home is now packed with Hello Kitty collectibles. “I live in my little pink lagoon with all my kitties, they cheer me up and I like having them around me,” Natasha says.

The trouble with the 29-year-old's obsession with Hello Kitty is the fact that pretty much all the men Natasha has dated over the years have had trouble getting accustomed to life in the Kitty kingdom. Still, Natasha says she is not willing to change for anybody.

“Boyfriends in the past have tried to make me give her up, so I got rid of them. It's part of who I am and I'm not changing for anybody. If a man doesn't like my kitty kingdom and can't accept me for who I am then I'm not interested in them,” she argues.

The 29-year-old has not yet lost hope that she will find somebody that can accept her for who she is, and has even decided what dress she is going to wear at her wedding reception: a handmade Hanita wedding dress similar to that worn by a limited edition Hello Kitty toy in her collection.

“When I get married I want to wear the same Hanita dress. My dad's already agreed to wear a pink tie and I want to have Hello Kitty on top of the wedding cake,” Natasha explains.
