LG has launched a TV that easily surpasses the Full HD image resolution, or 1920 x 1080 pixels, but this isn't one of those new UHD TV panels. Instead of 3840 x 2160 pixels, the display has a resolution of 2560 x 1080.

The resolution is known as WQHD, or ultra-widescreen, and comes with an aspect ratio of 21:9. It's surprising to see it on a TV really.

After all, there are few, if any, broadcasts and films in that quality. Full HD is the way to go.

Thus, picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes are the only reason we see for the creation of the new IPS TV (178-degree viewing angles).

Sure enough, the TV set supports PiP and split screen, and can work in 16:9 and 5:9 modes (HD broadcast and connected smartphones).

DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI and MHL ports are used to receive signal, and the price is of $609 / €454 – 609.
