Called PB287Q, it was made by ASUS and has a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, despite the 28-inch diagonal.
That means that the pixel density is of 157 PPI (pixels per inch), which is four times better than for standard Full HD displays.
The SplendidPlus Video Intelligence Technology is an ASUS-exclusive asset, which enhances color brightness, contrast, and sharpness, according to the company.
DC adjustment backlighting is included as well, for reduced flickering, and so is the ASUS EyeCare Technology, bringing Reading and Darkroom modes. These are, essentially, blue light reduction states (blue light is a major cause of eye strain, like flicker).
Furthermore, the LCD monitor benefits from a stand with swivel, tilt, pivot and height adjustment.
All in all, the ASUS PB287Q True 4K/UHD (ultra-high-definition) monitor isn't the slimmest thing in the world, but it's definitely going to cause at least a few ripples, being such a “small” 4K product. Its price is of $799 / €576 – €799, in case you were wondering.
