There are plenty of folks in this world who like to call themselves fans of hit series “The Simpsons.” Still, chances are Lee Weir stands to teach each and every one of them a thing or two about putting one's money where one's mouth is.

Not to beat about the bush, this 27-year-old man has no more and no less than 41 tattoos showing Homer Simpson inked into his skin. Therefore, it might be quite safe to assume this character is Lee Weir's favorite.

By the looks of it, 27-year-old Lee Weir ended up getting this many Homer Simpsons tattoos in a bizarre attempt to show his commitment to the show and make up for the fact that, when he was a child, he was not allowed to watch it.

“I was never allowed to watch The Simpsons growing up as my dad was a real-life Ned Flanders. He wouldn't let me watch as it depicted the father and the head of the household to be a buffoon,” the man explained in an interview.

Lee Weir currently lives in the town of Auckland in New Zealand with his wife and their child. Despite the fact that she is only 2 years old, the man's daughter can distinguish between the many tattoos her dad carries on his left arm, and even has a favorite.

“My two-year-old daughter Lucy can point out different Homer tattoos on my arm – her favorite is ‘baby Homer, ’” the 27-year-old man said in a statement. “It hasn't made me a better person but I definitely think it has made me a slightly cooler one,” he added.

Media reports say this man's 41 tattoos of Homer Simpson took about 25 hours to complete. He was inked by his friend and tattoo artist Ben Jenkins, who also came up with the design for Lee Weir's “The Simpsons”-inspired sleeve, Daily Mail informs.

After getting inked, the 27-year-old contacted folks working with Guinness World Records and had them look at his tattoos and count them. The man is now an official record holder for having the most tattoos of one and the same cartoon character inked into his skin.

As noticeable in the photo above, the Homer Simpson fan still has clean skin left on his body. Whether or not he might one day consider getting even more Homer Simpson tattoos remains a mystery. Then again, given his passion for the series, it's likely Lee Weir will soon add more artworks to his collection.
