Some may say that there's no longer any point in releasing gaming monitors of 27 inches or greater diagonals if they don't have at least WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), but BenQ begs to differ.

The company has just released the RL2755HM, a 27-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). This display has several perks that set it apart from the rest, even other gaming monitors.

One is the response time of 1ms. You don't get much better than this, since lower is better. It means that it takes less time for the image drawn by the graphics card to reach the screen.

20-level color vibrance is another asset, as is the black-color equalizer with automatic leveling. You should see images that are as clear as they can get, even in dark scenes.

The brightness of 300 cd/m2 isn't that grand, true, but it's still better than the 200-250 cd/m2 of regular screens. Besides, if you spend nights playing whatever, it's probably going to be too dark for the full brightness level to even be necessary.

On that note, Blue Light Reduction helps preserve eye health.

All in all, the new BenQ RL2755HM 27-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor is about as good as you can hope for, as far as Full HD displays go. It even has two HDMI ports, allowing you to connect both a PC and a game console to it at once, or a media player alongside one of the other two. Unfortunately, pricing and availability details are unknown.
