Verizon is the first company to present just how its FiOS TV service will work on the Xbox 360 after the upcoming dashboard update brings the Xbox Live TV on Demand function to existing consoles, confirming that 26 channels are ready to be viewed by owners of the Microsoft platform.

The Xbox 360 will vastly upgrade its entertainment role next week, when it’s going to receive its much hyped dashboard update, which delivers the long awaited TV on Demand feature.

We already know with what partners Microsoft has teamed up to offer content on its Xbox 360, but Verizon is the first company to confirm just what channels it’s going to offer its subscribers via the Xbox 360 console.

As such, those who already have a FiOS TV subscription, as well as an Xbox 360 and a Gold membership to its Live online service, will be able to enjoy 26 programs, most in high definition and some in standard resolution. Check them all out below.

HD Channels

BET Cinemax CNN Comedy Central ESPNews Food Network HBO 2 HBO HGTV MTV Nickelodeon Spike TBS TNT Travel Channel truTV VH1

SD Channels

Boomerang Cartoon Network DIY Hallmark Channel HLN MTV2 Nick Jr TCM TV Land Bear in mind that to watch channels like HBO or Cinemax you also need a premium subscription. Verizon is also running a special offer to those who sign up for their $90 (around 67 Euros) per month “Triple Pay” package, which includes cable, Internet, and phone service. Besides those services, clients will also get, until January 21, a copy of Halo Combat Evolved: Anniversary Edition and a one-year Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Verizon also mentions that more channels will be added once the service “matures,” and plenty of other TV partners are expected to present their offers before the new dashboard arrives next week, on December 6.
