Few can argue against the fact that public restrooms are full of surprises. Still, the presence of a tiger weighing 250 pounds (about 114 kilograms) in one such facility will definitely be a head turner.

By the looks of it, the tiger was discovered by a woman who wanted no more and no less than visit the public bathroom at the Isis Shrine Circus. Sources report that the tiger had somehow escaped from its cage shortly after performing a circus act, and that it made its way towards the restroom, where circus-goer Jenna Krehbiel came face to face with it.

“I didn’t know it was in the bathroom, and I walked in the (open) door, which closed right after I had walked in. I saw the tiger; it was at most two feet in front of me, and I turned around calmly and walked back toward the door,” Jenna reportedly told members of the press.

“It was the closest I have ever been to a tiger not in a cage. You don’t expect to go in a bathroom door, have it shut behind you and see a tiger walking toward you,” she later added.

When seeing the tiger, Jenna turned around and slowly walked out of the bathroom. She then returned to her family, and trained staff took care of trapping the tiger and returning it to its enclosure.

The incident occurred at the Bicentennial Center in Salina, Kansas.
