250 Million Mobile Internet Ads This Year

D2Chas reached the impressive number of 250 million mobile internet ads. The study followed the amount of advertisements present on mobile devices between January and May of the year 2007.

Considering the fact that we are actually talking about only 5 months, the amount of 250 million mobile internet ads proves to be quite impressive. The number has been reached after monitoring the itsmy.com mobile social networking service.

Current CPM prices range around USD30. The user response to ad banners used in the case of mobile advertising
proved to be up to 10 times higher than in the old fashioned internet. The reason for this comes from the low number of advertisements found on mobile internet sites. This being the case, all advertising content has considerably higher chances of reaching a specific target and, moreover, being read by handset users.

"We want to distance ourselves from the 'old-school' internet banner advertising and develop interactive advertising campaigns for the top brands out there. I believe 'less is more' in mobile advertising business, flooding the pages with pop-ups and interstitials like in the 'www world' just leaves you with an angry user unwilling to click on any ads", said Mikko Saarelainen, Director Content & Communities.

Moreover, itsmy.com provides advertising at a considerably more evolved level: "high quality user generated content matched with equally high class mobile advertising adding value to the user experience. You don't find ads for XXX, subscription services or any other dubious products on itsmy.com", further said Mikko Saarelainen.

Mobile advertising has taken a well determined turn in the course of development in the last time. Moreover, itsmy.com is currently working on new ways for developing new mobile internet advertising concept. The 250 million borderline has only managed to mobilize them into finding the most efficient solutions for exploring this highly responsive advertising market.
