Chad Johnson, a former wide receiver with the New England Patriots, has tried to beat Robert Gill’s record-breaking display of speed on a treadmill.

As I reported, former track star Gill posted a clip of himself doing 25 mph on a treadmill, drawing viral buzz on Reddit.

According to NBC Sports, Johnson doesn't make it to the same speed, but he does hit 24 mph on a 2.5 percent incline, which makes the task much harder.

Johnson is out of the NFL after a bad year during his time with the Patriots and a stint in jail over domestic violence charges.

Will the video help put Johnson on the map again? Leave your opinion in the comment section.
