NVIDIA said as much during a recent conference call

During the NVIDIA conference call of a couple of days ago, the company mainly focused on the graphics card we already detailed separately, the GeForce GTX 960. An impressive piece of work, that.

However, there were some other things that the company reps touched on during the presentation. One of them was G-Sync technology.

G-Sync uses a hardware module integrated into the monitor to sync the refresh rate with the frame rate of the GPU, without enabling V-Sync.

This eliminates screen tearing and overall makes images smoother, especially in first-person and third-person games.

Apparently, the technology is popular, more popular than NVIDIA expected. Because of that, seven new G-Sync monitors will come out this year, with screen sizes of 24 to 28 inches.

Acer will launch three (24 inches, 27 inches and 28 inches), BenQ will release one (24 inches), ASUS one (27 inches), AOX one (24 inches), and Philips one (27 inches).

One of the most noteworthy is the Acer XB270HU, a 27-inch monitor with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and IPS panel of 144 Hz.

The other is the ASUS ROG PG27AQ, also a 27-inch one but with a 4K resolution IPS (3840 x 2160 pixels).
