It aims to make life easier for all those people that leave work tired and aching

It's unlikely that a time will come when all work will be comfortable and pleasant, but Philips wants to make a contribution, especially if it helps it sell its new monitor.

Said monitor is the 24-inch ErgoSensor, which comes with a stand whose height can be adjusted.

That way you can sit in your office chair comfortably, all day every day, seven days a week. Or, well, five days a week if you have a normal day job. The monitor also has swivel and tilt.

The rest of the specifications are pretty standard otherwise: 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178-degree viewing angles, Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), and standard video inputs (DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI).

There are some less than ordinary assets though, like white LED backlighting, four USB 2.0 ports and the 4 ms response time (normal monitors have 5ms or even more). All this for the price of £275 / $450 / €329.
