Schmidt and Jenko are going to college. This could be the beginning of a new, very hilarious joke but, instead, it’s the idea for the sequel to the 2012 hit comedy “21 Jump Street,” which will hopefully be at least as funny as the original.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum team up once more on an undercover mission that puts them in college, trying to find out who’s bringing in and selling a new drug. Had they not looked like they were pushing 50, we learn in the new trailer, they would have been sent to high school once more.

Speaking of the new trailer, it includes some never-before-seen footage and plenty of the jokes that were featured in the red-band trailer, except now they’ve been sanitized to make them appropriate for a wider audience.

Still, *some discretion is recommended before viewing it because it contains images of violence and language that might offend.

“22 Jump Street” is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and is based on a script that also credits Hill. He also wrote the script for the first film, saying just recently that he personally chose Channing for the role, warning producers he wouldn’t do the film without him. Excellent choice, Jonah, excellent choice.

The film comes out on June 13.
