As some of you already know, we partnered up with IGG for the distribution of Newbie Packs for 2029 Online (a skill-based sci-fi MMORPG). The promotion lasted for three weeks, starting October 1st and ending on October 18th. For those who missed out on the event, besides sending equipment and items to help a beginner make his/her way in the game, IGG also threw in three Amazon Gift Cards, each valued at $100, to spend on whatever they want.

Well, the lucky winners have been selected randomly out of all those who registered for 2029 Online newbie pack and here they are: “CosminDm88,” “domination4” and “hannakish.” They each received an Amazon Gift Card worth $100. Not too shabby and congratulations. For everything to be in order, the lucky winners were notified through an email message and had to confirm their prize within one week from the announcement of the results, which they did.

Although this was a promotion for the closed beta of the game and some players have pushed to higher levels with the aid of the newbie pack, the game can still be played and with no help at all it is even more challenging. You'll be able to rise on your own in this futuristic environment and earn your skills to the extent of building up the reputation of “raider of unique skill.”

2029 Online has been built with both the beginner and the more experienced gamer in mind, as the initial levels are quite easy to go through, with no-brainer enemies, but as you advance your skills will be put to the test.

The Sci-Fi mix of Corridors, RTS and RPG elements set it apart from games of the same feather, just like the adoption of real-world-like surroundings that contribute to an experience different from the bunch of MMORPGs on the market. Killing and slashing your opponents falls to second place, as the gameplay is centered on fame and faith and represents just a means to an end.

2029 Online is available for download on Softpedia.
