The Apple Watch Series 4 could offer new health features

The first rumors about Apple's next Apple Watch model have already begun, as KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo predicts that the 2018 Apple Watch Series would have a larger display and other wanted features.

It's true that Apple Watch is the best selling smartwatch on the market, and Apple sold more than 18 million units worldwide. Apple Watch saw its best quarter ever in Q1 2018, thanks to the Series 3, which is less dependent on the iPhone thanks to the integrated LTE and GPS technologies.

Now, KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo is reporting (via 9to5mac) on the next Apple Watch Series, which could be Series 4, saying that Apple will launch revamped Apple Watch models this fall with approximately 15% bigger display while maintaining the same 38mm and 42mm sizes with thinner bezels.

Better battery life, enhanced health monitoring

According to KGI's analyst, which has become the most accurate Apple predictor around, the rumored Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch could also offer better battery life and enhanced health features, though it's possible that the bigger display would drain the battery faster.

So even if the battery would be more powerful, it won't be long-lasting due to the bigger display size and new health features. However, it could at least keep the same battery life as in the Apple Watch Series 3. The analyst does not go into detail about these new design changed.

One thing we know is that with each new Series, the older Apple Watch models would either be discontinued or go on sale at a much lower price than they were sold until the launch of the new models. Kuo said that Apple could sell up to 50 million Apple Watch units a year thanks to the 2018 models, which should launch in fall along with new iPhone models.
