Apple partner Foxconn has reportedly assembled the first batch of “budget” 2013 iPhones and has sent them to Apple for launch during the second half of this year.

Appadvice cites Lieyunwang as saying that the first plastic iPhones set for launch in 2013 have been packaged and shipped to Apple “for a fall release.”

The device is said to be made for the mid-range market and it will ship in multiple color options, including (but not limited to) yellow, red, lime-green, and black.

Three purported “cheap” iPhone shell have been leaked in photos these past few days, showing both the interior and the exterior of the cases.

While potentially fake, the enclosures seem to boast screw holes that perfectly align with another recently leaked piece of hardware – a logic board allegedly destined for one of Apple’s future iPhones.
