Branded mainboards will reach 75 million, 5 million behind last year

If there's anything that can confirm the lower demand for PCs, it's a decline in motherboards, and it so happens that a preliminary forecast has been made in regard to that.

In a nutshell, brand motherboard shipments will be of 75 million in 2013, compared to last year's 80 million.

Latin America and Europe will feel the shipment drop particularly badly, as will Asian Countries and the US. Even the Chinese will buy fewer of those things.

Eastern European countries will show particularly unstable shipment charts, sources say.

It's really quite disheartening to see PCs drifting off ever so slowly, while smartphones and, soon enough, wearable gadgets take their place.

Soon enough we'll all have high-tech eyewear, phones and clothes, and PCs will be an optional commodity because operations will be done mostly in the cloud, on online servers as it were.
