The 2013 edition of the Technologies for Security and Compliance Summit will take place on July 31-August 1 in Austin, Texas, at the Barton Creek Resort.

The event brings together electric utility experts that will share insight on how the North American power grid can be protected against cyberattacks.

Representatives of cybersecurity regulatory agencies will also be present at the summit. They will explain the increasingly-complex regulations aimed at protecting the generation and transmission of electricity in Canada and the US.

The list of companies attending the event includes Austin Energy, Sask Power, CPS Energy, LCRA, NERC, Raytheon, Alert Enterprise, TripWire, SANS, Waterfall, MISO and the Electrical Reliability Council of Texas.
