2002 FIFA World Cup is an official World Cup game published by EA Sports. An amalgamation between the game engines of FIFA 2002 and FIFA 2003, the game still incorporates the power bar for shots and crosses but with a steeper learning curve and higher chances of being penalized by the match referee. The national team kits are accurate along with player likeness and the stadia of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Unlike the previous games in the FIFA series, the game had an original soundtrack performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. It was released for Windows, PS1, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox.

All-Americas team:
Win the World Cup with an North American or South American team to unlock the All-Americas team in a friendly match.

All-European team:
Win the World Cup with an European or Oceania team to unlock the All-European team in a friendly match.

All-Asian team:
Win the World Cup with an Asian team to unlock the All-Asian team in a friendly match.

All-African team:
Win the World Cup with an African team to unlock the All-African team in a friendly match.

All-World team:
Unlock the All-Americas, All-European, All-Asian, and All-African teams to unlock the All-World team in a friendly match.

To unlock the All-World team in World Cup mode, win with every single team three times in world class mode without losing a single game.

Gameplay Hints

Easy World Cup win:
Pause a match and make the opposing team controlled by player two. Then, just have that controller remain idle.

Matrix-style goalie:
When you have scored or had a good shot, pause game play and replay it. Then, press X repeatedly until you see free cam. Play the replay and when the goalie dives, press Y to pause the replay. Rotate the Left Analog-stick for a Matrix-style goalie.

Alternate ending music:
Play the World Cup on World class mode and use any team except for France. Once you get to the World Cup finals, defeat your opponent with a score of 2-0, 4-2, or 6-4. At the end of the game, the music will not be what is normally played. Instead, it will have the title screen music blended in.
