It seems that long-awaited Rock Band title will not only be one of the most original Xbox 360 games, but also the most expensive title that ever surfaced on Microsoft's console. According to the GamePro magaizine, you'll have to pay $200 for the full game bundle, that includes the software, the guitar controller, drum controller and microphone.

If you think about it you'll spend more than half the price of an Xbox 360 Pro console and a third of the price of an iPhone. Rock Band was created by Harmonix and branded by MTV Games, the company in charge with the game's distribution. The title aims to continue the successful Guitar Hero series, with a twist, adding some elements from the acclaimed Karaoke Revolution game.

For the first time in a game of this genre, you'll be able to go online and start searching for band members in an attempt to create your own System of a Down or My Chemical Romance. We don't know if the $200 price tag applies to the PS3 version, too but, we'll keep an eye out for details.

In case you're wondering what the price of each item that comes with the full bundle is, the latest speculations imply that we'll be toying with a $60-$80 guitar, a $80 drum kit and a $30 microphone. Oh, don't forget the game, priced at $60, a decent reason to cancel your summer holiday and start saving money.

I'm guessing that if Guitar Hero III is available at a more decent price, gamers will buy it first and then play Rock Band at their rich friends' houses. Who knows, with the whole Guitar Hero mania, maybe fans will sell an arm and a leg in order to buy Rock Band and stay true to one of the most original music games around.
