A 12-year-old birthday-boy from Orlando, Florida had a surprise guest at his anniversary party as a 200-pound black bear crashed into the family's backyard after being lured by the barbecue smell.

The kids were enjoying the party for less than an hour when they saw the big wild mammal entering the backyard. The children ran inside the house and the scared parents made sure that it could not get close to the youngsters and immediately called Florida's Fish and Wildlife authorities.

The officers on duty chased the animal for almost half a day until finally getting the chance to tranquilize the wild beast that climbed in the trees in an attempt to get away from people. After the uninvited guest was caught, it was carried into a pickup truck and relocated in a nearby forest, according to WearTV.

The male had been seen in the neighborhood for almost a week, probably looking for food in the garbage cans around residents’ houses. Attracted by the smell of barbecue, it came towards the location of the party, but scared by the people chasing him, the animal took down a fence trying to escape.

Because of the lack of food in the woods, the heavy animals can adventure into small towns in an attempt to feed themselves with whatever they can find. A lot of reports have been made recently, accusing such mammals of entering properties and scaring locals.

Just a few days ago, a Russian man survived after fighting with a massive bear, and in another case, also in Russia, a bear allegedly broke into a house and ate the owners’ food, before running back into the woods.

If hungry or annoyed, bears can become extremely dangerous and even fatal. Last year, a man from Alaska was attacked and eaten by a wild, sharp-clawed animal after trying to take some photographs of the mammal in the park. Others attacked by these wild animals have escaped by pure luck and many swore to avoid any other bear encounters in the future.
