A couple currently living in the city of Forth Worth in Texas, US, say that, not too long ago, employees at a local nursery used duct tape to restrain their 2-year-old in a desperate attempt to get the little boy to go to sleep.

Apparently, the nursery employees used duct-tape to try and convince one other child left in their care to stop fidgeting and take a nap, Metro informs. The duct tape was used to force the kids to lie on a mattress.

The couple reportedly learned about how this nursery treated children when their parents were not around from a former employee, who sent them photos of their son wrapped in a blanket and restrained with duct tape.

“Parents take a leap of faith to entrust their children to the care of someone else, and it is extremely upsetting when something like this happens to toddlers, who are too young to speak up for themselves,” the former employee said in a statement.

Why it was that this person waited until he no longer worked at the nursery to release the photos and comment on the other employee's behavior remains a mystery. Perhaps you can use your imagination to try and sort it out.

Conspiracy theory or no conspiracy theory, the fact remains that, having filed a lawsuit against the nursery, identified as Heart2Heart Montessori Academy, the parents of the 2-year-old expect to be paid $1 million (€0.75 million) in damages.
