A family in Grayson, Georgia have had their house damaged when an unruly driver smashed a truck into it.

According to 11 Alive, the red pick-up truck was being driven by a 2-year-old at the time.

"A little red pickup truck from across the street. [...] And it was driven by a 2 year old," homeowner George Williams describes.

The toddler was in the vehicle with his father who stopped it to take something out of the back. During the time it took him to go inside the house, his son had the time to put the car in gear and let it slide into the Brocklin Drive home across the street.

Nobody was injured during the incident on Thursday, June 20. There is no indication about how the child has gotten out of the car before hitting a wall.

"Just accidentally, the child was able to put the car in gear and it rolled down at a fairly slow speed across the street," Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Jake Smith explains.

George and Kathleen Williams, neighbors and owners of the damaged home say that it must have been going at a slow speed.

They were not angry after the incident, which they dubbed an accident. Their basement has, however, been damaged, with a gas and a water line severed.

The wall the car hit was destroyed and two windows were taken down. This marks the first incident of the sort for the owners of 38 years.

"I just wanted to make sure everybody was alright. [...] Nobody was hurt and like I said, things can be fixed, people can't," Williams says.

"They didn't mean to do it. [...] So it doesn't make any difference," he adds, amused by the occurrence.
