14 DAY TRIAL // It might be just me, but it feels like one too many odd news are coming from China these days. First, there was the woman whose home in the countryside accommodates for about 100,000 cockroaches.
Next came the man who stole 600 girl gym uniforms because he wanted to wear them, and now we hear that a ginormous tapeworm has recently been found inside the stomach of a woman from the very same country.
Mrs. Li decided to go see a doctor after realizing that something was seriously off with her stomach and her intestines. It was thus discovered that a tapeworm measuring 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) was living inside her tummy.
According to Metro, the doctors in charge of overseeing this case eventually managed to rid the woman of the parasite thriving inside her. To do so, they gave her some traditional Chinese medicine.
Mrs. Li is now feeling much better, yet says that, whenever she remembers what she has been through, it makes her sick to her stomach. “It's disgusting and almost makes me faint,” the woman explains.
Apparently, the woman ingested the baby tapeworm when she traveled to south-east Asia and ate undercooked beef. In time, the parasite developed inside her stomach and started affecting her health.
