Agile Web Solutions has updated its password manager for Mac OS X to version 2.6.2, but also has
changed the looks of the official website a bit. Version 2.6 was released just a few weeks ago, adding compatibility with the newly updated Camino web browser but also enhancing anti-phishing safeguard, to name just two of the 60+ improvements made. Agile folks, however, didn't rest until they updated AllBookmarks and its website as well. More details below.

First of all, let's make sure newcomers understand the purpose of 1Password and why they should really consider making some room for it to sit on their Mac's hard drive.

1Password remembers all your online passwords that you can insert on any web page or form, any time, by using one single (strong) password. It integrates directly into most browsers, and sports built-in anti-phishing and keylogger protection.

So basically, by using 1Password, Mac and iPhone users can easily manage hundreds of passwords with one master key. But Agile Web Solutions has also introduced the useful app to iPhones as well. The 1Password 2.5.1. password assistant for iPhone is free for registered users and adds support for AutoFill in Mobile Safari.

Currently, 1Password is compatible with the following browsers and their respective versions: Safari 2.0+, Firefox 1.5+, Camino 1.6.1, OmniWeb 5.5+, DEVONagent 2.0+, or NetNewsWire 2.1+. 1Password requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later.

AllBookmarks also gives you access to your 1Password 1Click bookmarks so you can navigate to a page, fill in the form, and submit it with a single click

Back to the new stuff recently announced by Agile Web Solutions, 1Password 2.6.2 packs almost 100 changes, while the AllBookmarks site has also been tweaked up a bit to match the changes. What do you mean by "what changes?"? The new Search feature and automatic updates, of course.

The full changelog for 1Password is available right HERE, along with the option to download a free trial of this useful tool for Mac OS X. As always, 1Password version 2.6.2 is a free update for registered users.

Agile Web Solutions also wants to let users in on a 20% discount on TextExpander, a Mac OS X utility from the guys at SmileOnMyMac. The two companies met up at the Macworld Expo where SmileOnMyMac agreed to provide a 20% discount on TextExpander for 1Password users.
