1Cast has announced today that it is making its innovative free service available for Android-powered mobile phones. 1Cast is a revolutionary broadcast platform capable of delivering up-to-the-minute personalized television news clips to mobile phones as well as to desktops.

1Cast is committed to push the distribution of personalized video news content over multiple networks and device types to new ground. The web and mobile-based video delivery system also managed to secure content licensing rights from top programmers, including BBC Worldwide, CNBC, Dow Jones, Reuters and others, for unparalleled distribution.

The fact that 1Cast is now available in the Android market for devices powered by the operating system unveils the group's intentions to expand the coverage of its service into new platforms, so as to be able to provide the latest and most relevant news content to users no matter where they are located.

“The overwhelming response to our current service offering demonstrates that there is a need and desire for accessing professional news content on the go and with our new Android application, users will have yet another way to get all this for free,” said Anthony Bontrager, president of Onecast. “Consumers want to access content on their terms, and 1Cast for Android is our latest move to satisfy this demand. We intend to stay several steps ahead of the market by keeping our users engaged and satisfied through our unique personalized newscast platform, while maintaining a viable and scalable business opportunity for our content, advertising and distribution partners.”

1Cast is the first online and mobile broadcast news and information delivery platform in the world that delivers professional and perishable news content in a personally relevant, micro-cast format. 1Cast announced that it plans to showcase its new Android application at the Mobile World Congress, next week in Barcelona.
