Last week, 3 months after Kourtney Kardashian dumped him for allegedly cheating on her with an ex-girlfriend, Scott Disick stepped out in public with a new girlfriend. She was immediately identified as an 18-year-old model from Canada, living in New York, named Lindsay Vrckovnik.

She was fresh out of high school, and based on reports in the media and paparazzi photos posted online, she had become a fixture on Scott’s posse, even flying with him to Miami for another round of parties. They were a couple, apparently.

Lindsay denies hookup, says they’re just friends

The photo above was posted to Scott’s Instagram the other day but has been deleted since. Considering that Lindsay has been telling friends that there’s nothing romantic between them, it’s easy to understand why Scott took it down: you can’t exactly convince people you’re friends when you pose in nothing but fur coats.

According to TMZ, Lindsay has a boyfriend (who is not Scott, obviously) and he’s not ok with reports that she’s been hooking up with “The Lord,” as the former Kardashian reality star likes to call himself.

So she’s been telling friends that she and Scott met last week and became “travel companions,” i.e. she’s part of his party entourage but is not hooking up with him.

Reports and photos indicating the contrary are “misleading,” she claims.

Then, there’s this: “Whatever Lindsay claims, she's having trouble convincing her BF […]. She and Scott didn’t meet for the first time last week, they hung out at least once before, in July, at a party in Malibu.”

That is to say, Lindsay is lying.

A possible PR stunt

The current season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E! also tackles the breakup between Kourtney and Scott, which occurred after photos of him with another woman in Monte Carlo popped up online, leading to allegations of infidelity.

The breakup is a storyline as much as Kim’s pregnancy or Kylie’s relationship with rapper Tyga, and promos released so far are hyping it up.

Meanwhile, neither Kourtney nor Scott has publicly acknowledged the breakup yet, which could very well mean that there is nothing to confirm. The Kardashians are known to create personal drama to turn it into a good storyline, and this breakup, including the so-called fling and controversy with the 18-year-old model, could be one way to get a boost in the ratings.
