Video game publisher Activision Blizzard has offered details and a clear launch plan for the next 18 content drops that will arrive for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 first-person shooter, all the way up to the month of September of this year.

Overall gamers that like the multiplayer side of the game will be able to get ten new maps, six new missions linked to the Spec Ops mode and two whole new game modes to be played on all the included maps.

- February - new map
- March - new map and two new Spec Ops missions
- April - two new maps
- May – one new map and a new Spec Ops mission
- June – one new map, a new Spec Ops mission and a new game mode
- July - two new maps
- August – one new map, a new Spec Ops mission and new game mode
- September - new map and new Spec Ops mission.

Fans of Modern Warfare 3 need to keep in mind the fact that this is the schedule linked to those subscribing to the new Elite service from Activision.

Normal gamers will get the same content, but the delays could be up to a whole month, which is quite a lot in a game where the dedicated base adopts new content in a few days.

Also all the content drops for Modern Warfare 3 will be launched first on the Xbox 360 home console from Microsoft and those playing on the PC and the PlayStation 3 will have to wait a while before getting access to the same DLC.

Gamers can now get access to the first two pieces of content drop: the Liberation and the Piazza maps.

Modern Warfare 3 has been the best-selling video game of 2011 and Activision is determined to keep the game engaging in the New Year.

Xbox suck. Activision is going to loose money if they don't stop this whole Xbox first crap. Everyone I have spoke to including myself will not be purchasing the next COD series if they continue to favor Xbox. The money they get payed to do this will not make up for their losses
