You bought yourself a MacBook Pro and now you have to take it with you anywhere you go. Anywhere you go until its battery dies out and you find yourself carrying around a $2,000 - more or less - brick (a good looking one at least). You recharge it again and again every time it dies out on you (after all, that's what those damn notebook batteries are so well known for, aren't they?), so you won't face the "brick feeling" again as long as you and your MacBook Pro will be friends.

But, invariably, albeit your titanic efforts of always charging the battery up while not using the MacBook, you will have to meet your nemesis again and again. What is one to do to escape this cycle of not so Hallmark-like moments? Well, you could visit the Fastmac online store, where you can find a TruePower extended life battery upgrade already prepared for your 17-inch MacBook Pro (and ready to be shipped your way anytime you're ready).

This Lithium-Polymer cell battery (with built-in charge indicator LEDs) boasts longer life and a larger capacity compared to the one your computer comes equipped with: "Fastmac's TruePower line of battery upgrades replace the computer's original battery with a larger capacity and longer lasting advanced power cell battery that utilizes TruePower technology."

The TruePower technology uses integrated circuit sensors inside the body of the battery to be able to detect any undesirable levels of swelling, or any type of short circuit that could jeopardize your and your MacBook's safety, powering off the battery in case of such an incident is detected.

Just to be sure you will feel safe when using their product, Fastmac also assures any eventual customers that "TruePower batteries do not contain or use any Sony cells that are subject to the recent series of recalls issued by major computer manufacturers". Although this is somewhat undermining Sony's credibility on the battery market, some of you will probably have a much more positive attitude on upgrading their MacBook Pro's battery after reading the above phrase.

If you have decided to purchase one to (hypothetically) end the row of unpleasant experiences (if any) and extend the time period between two recharges, then you have to cash out $99.95 and another $25, if you also want international shipping. The battery will come in a shiny new sealed box and will bring with it a whole year of warranty in case anything unexpected (like a fire underneath your MacBook Pro) happens.

Despite seemingly too expensive to some, you have to know that this longer life, larger capacity upgrade of the default battery will prove to be around $30 cheaper than if you opt for an Apple replacement.
