Mobile phone users in India interested in the purchase of a Moto G smartphone have had a bit of a hard time grabbing the 16GB version of the device, as it has been out of stock for several weeks now, but it seems that things have returned to normal now.

At the moment, the 16GB Moto G is listed at online retailer Flipkart (which has exclusivity on the phone at the moment) as in stock, with 2-3 business days delivery.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Moto G was released in India on February 6, but it was sold out fast.

The smartphone was launched in 8GB and 16GB versions, yet only the latter has suffered major delays, as the 8GB model returned to availability only a few days after the initial launch.

Flipkart has started receiving reservations for the 16GB flavor of the device soon after February 6, but it announced users that they would have to wait up to 20 days for the device to arrive in their hands.

However, as AndroidOS notes, it appears that Flipkart and Motorola have finally managed to ship all of the pending orders for the handset, and that stock is once again available for those interested in grabbing it.

The fact that Moto G has managed to become a very popular smartphone among users in India is demonstrated not only by the fact that it has been out of stock for so long.

Apparently, Flipkart has already confirmed that it has imported around 142,000 units during February. Samsung Galaxy S4, for example, sold 170,000 units in the first month of availability, but it was not exclusive to a single retailer.

Moto G is the latest Android-based smartphone to come from Motorola, though it is only a mid-range device. It was announced back in November 2013, and it has already arrived in a great deal of markets out there.

The phone features a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. Moreover, it comes with 1GB of RAM inside, and the aforementioned internal memory options.

On the back, Moto G packs a 5-megapixel camera, complemented by a 1.3MP front camera for video calling. The specs list of this device also includes a 2040mAh battery, dual-SIM capabilities, and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Moto G is available in India with a price tag of Rs. 12,499 ($201/€146) attached for the 8GB model, while the 16GB version costs Rs. 13,999 ($225/€164).
