The company updated its product page to say April 2013 again

Yesterday we reported that HP had pushed back the launch date of the 7-inch HP Slate 7 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet.

Not long after, though, the company again changed its product page to say that the device would be released, as planned, in April 2013, not June.

We don't know why the company would change the ETA (estimated time of arrival) just to rectify the change a short time later.

Maybe it was just a mistype, or maybe the company wised up to the fact that, among other tablet makers, Google would have a good challenger out by mid-year (the second-generation Nexus 7), endangering the customer base of its own 7-inch tablet.

For the details of the $169 / 128-169 Euro tablet, go here where we detailed it, or directly to the product page.
